What to Expect

  • Book a 15-minute free consultation to see if we’d be a good fit.

  • If we decide to work together, we’ll schedule an initial session. During this session, we’ll dive deep into your medical history, relationship with food, and current goals. We’ll work together to set a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and flexible.

  • Afterwards, we’ll schedule weekly, bimonthly, or monthly follow-ups to handle roadblocks and challenges along the way and to assess your progress.

  • Alongside nutrition sessions, we may use tools like:

    • Food and symptom journaling

    • Review of lab work & medical team collaboration

    • Mind-body practice to support digestion and nervous system balance

FAQs

  • I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I am happy to provide a monthly superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your plan’s out-of-network benefits, and I encourage you to call your provider to ask what they cover for nutrition counseling.

  • Working outside of insurance allows me to provide individualized, high-quality care that isn’t limited by session caps, rigid diagnostic requirements, or weight-focused treatment mandates. This way, I can focus on your whole health—not just what insurance companies define as “medically necessary.”

  • See our Services page for more information on a la carte and package pricing.

  • Yes. I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship or limited access to care. If cost is a barrier, please reach out—I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs or refer you to someone who can.

  • To respect both our time, I require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.

  • I currently see all clients virtually in the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, HI, ID, IL, IN, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OK, OR, PA, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY

  • All sessions are held virtually through a secure telehealth platform, and charting and documentation takes place through a secure HIPAA-compliant electronic health record. For more, see our privacy and HIPAA policies here.

  • No. My practice is rooted in a weight-neutral philosophy. I believe that health is not determined by body size, and I do not use weight as a measure of success or a goal for treatment.

    Instead, we’ll focus on:

    • Improving your relationship with food and body

    • Addressing symptoms and behaviors (not numbers on a scale)

    • Supporting digestive, mental, and emotional health holistically

  • It’s completely okay to have those feelings. We live in a culture that equates weight loss with worthiness, health, and success. My job isn’t to shame you for those desires, but to help you explore where they come from and whether pursuing weight loss is truly supporting your goals, values, and health. Together, we can work toward a more peaceful relationship with your body —whatever size it is.

  • You can book a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. I’ll answer your questions and share more about my approach. From there, we can schedule your first session if you're ready to move forward.
